Some of them have salt grains sprinkled on (and they stick to the seeds), but some have a coat of this sour stuff. how do i make this at home?

add vineger and toast them

try soaking them in pickle juice then scoop out with slotted spoon place on cookie sheet sprinkle with envelope of ranch dressing bake on 200 for at least 1/2 hour then put in lidded container or can sprinkle with popcorn salt its real fine

you take a pan,pour salt and vinegar into the pan,then you mix in the sunflower seeds for about 4min. and then you cook them for 3min. and there you have it sour sunflower seeds.
