why do i keep on coughing so frequently??

I've had this problem too...and I attribute it to allergies...do you have a runny nose, ringing ears, or scratchy throat? I couldn't understand, and I was really worried that it could have possibly been tuberculosis...but that is accompanied by weight loss, fever, night sweats, etc...I found that when I took an antihisitmine, that the coughing found relief..
