High rich fatty take away foods are realy bad for you. When I go past KFC and macdonalds and other popular takeaway shops I usually see a lot of very obese people. Fat makes people fat, thats it and all doctors and health and nutrition experts will agree. I say ban all these places and get the governments of the day to endorse low fat heathly alternatives like subway sandwiches. Also to ban these super sized meal deals. i saw a show on the food channel about America and the super sized food deals. You can get a litre and a half of coke a 750gram burger and a pound of potatoe chips for less money than getting a smaller serving - now all that encouraages is greed and fat people. If you are a chlid you are given the message that its cool to over eat. Also these take away shops are notorious for food low in fibre and high in fat and guess which countries have the highest stats in bowel and collon cancer - all western countries. And I think that fat is addictive and also the additives in the breads and meats are addictive too. The governments of the day should endorse low fat fatst food places and give business bonusrs and iniatives for food outlets specialising in low fat and high fibre alternatives.

No, it shouldn't be banned. Not all people that eat junk food are fat. It can be eaten in moderation.
That's like asking if all companies that sell alcohol love alcoholics? I know a lot of people that drink in moderation and are not alcoholics. I also know the ban on alcohol (aka prohibition) didn't work.
It's about having some restraint. Unfortunately our society is all about "me" and "instant gratification". Just look at all the people who bought PS3 for over $1000. Why? Because they couldn't wait, had to have it today, it's all about me, me, me. Those same people will do a little write up on how they handed a homeless person $5 (and did their good dead for the year), as they chow their bag of chips while watching little Johnie play on the new PS3 they just had to get him for Christmas.

Yes I agree with you, they do make their junk food addictive, I think they should be banned, most of us do not have the willpower to leave them alone, I never buy junk food anymore, I try to make my own snacks, I take all my recipes & make them low fat or no fat, I snack on apples & my chewy oat meal bars.Today I'm going to try to make potatoe chips in the oven I have several ideas, it will take a little work, but I will give it a shot, I'm on weight watchers so I really have to watch my fats. Have a great day. Everyone have a very safe & happy new years eve.

I don't agree that we should ban anything completely, but I do think restrictions should be put in place like they have been doing with smoking. Smokers are still allowed to smoke, but not in as many public places. People should be allowed to eat junk food if they want, but they should not be offering junk food to kids in schools or after school programs. I also think that offering healthier choices is a good way to go, so that there are alternatives for people who do want to make an effort to eat healthy.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.
Get started today!

Junk food companies like ignorant and uninformed consumers. Many foods disguised as health foods are actually junk. You'd be surprised. I see mother's feeding their children snack foods that they think are good choices. But they aren't. Most prepackaged foods are laden with trans fat, msg and other harmful preservatives. Most of it isn't even necessary but the companies use it because many of the chemicals--such as msg--give the food an addictive quality. The food companies love that most of us have no clue that we're poisoning our bodies. Shop at whole food stores. Buy Amy's brand or Newman's. There are plenty of options that don't rely on cancer causing chemicals and the food tastes better because it doesn't taste like chemicals. Of course, eating healthy doesn't mean you won't be fat because people still tend to over eat. People need to take some responsibilty for their choices.

Yes it should be banned because the people who have a lot of junk food are creating all sorts of problems for themselves and i have heard that eating a lot of junk food may shorten your life expectancy.

I agree that junk food should be banned - it's unhealthy and cost too much. Surely not all junk food eaters are fat, and not all fat people eat junk food.
