Don't feel bad about him calling you boring.
You tried to do interesting things in the beginning of the relationship.
But he wanted to play video games and sleep all day.
Try one more time to initiate interesting outings for you two to do.
If he claims he his too tired than, there is nothing you can do.
I would move on, after this. In relationships things usually don't get better, they get worst. As that new feeling has wore off.

Odds are he probably won't change the habit of sleep and video games.( I was in this sort of relationship once, and can tell you from experience that is probably the case.) I wouldn't worry too much about his opinion of your activity level. It sounds like a pot calling the kettle black situation to me.
Just because he likes to sit in front of a game or sleep his life away doesn't mean you are tied to doing the same thing. Hopefully, your relationship is strong enough to allow both of you to pursue your own interests, separate from each other, if need be. Definitely go out and have fun, without him if necessary, after inviting him to go along with you.
Good luck

He's the one who's boring. I wish I could get my girlfriend to do different things. You're not happy with this guy, find some one exciting. He loves his friends and video games more than you. How pathetic is that?

Its one of those catch 22's my firend not a whole lot that you can do i'm afraid about the past however you'll have to get "uncomfortable " doing nothing! and get active again.
