When all scripture shows that Isaac was the son that was to be sacrificed? Do Muslims know this is prophesy of the coming of Mesiah? That God provided himself a lamb... That Issac carried the wood to the mountain. That Abraham named the place Jehova Jirah which means the lord will provide because it is there where God would provide himself a lamb.... If Abraham understood the Cross why do Muslims who claim to be Abrahamic not understand this prophesy?

Ali: You simply quote the Qu'ran Abraham was before all scripture and the book of Moses was 1500 years before the Qu'ran there was plenty of time for the Muslims to notice this scripture. The Qu'ran would not have the name Abraham without the book of Moses

Eite I believe God and this scripture predates the Christian Bible doesnt it? The Bible is in agreement with the word of God and if it wasnt I would believe God. I wish I could say the same for some of you who worship a book.

HF the evidence is in this scripture. What do you think it means when a man is told to make a sacrifice and he tells his son The lord will provide himself a lamb. what do you think it means when he named the place Jehova Jirah? This is the place that God would provide himself a lamb....what could that mean? Jesus is the lamb of god and
God's people can accept the perfect sacrifice rather than repeatedly making sacrifice these are the shadows and the real has come.

Shark Abraham didnt say this is the mountain where people will sacrifice animals...try to seek God and look for a spiritual meaning it is the greatest story ever told It is the Gospel it is the salvation of all who accept the truth it is the place where God provided himself a lamb and that lamb of God is Jesus Christ who paid the penalty of death for us all and there is no need to sacrifice because he is the sacrifice the son of God who died for you that you might be with him forever.

To all who do not believe the word of God which is a better sacrifice an animal or the perfect son of God? Is it better to eat bread and hunger again or to eat the bread from heaven and never hunger. Is it better to worship God in law which do not keep or better to be made clean by the blood of Jesus who is perfect? If you worship God by atempting to follow law and you fail what do you have but death? Is God unrighteous and he will agree with your sin? He offers you life through his righteousness Jesus Christ not yours which ends in death.

Zahran: It was Abraham who knew Christ and it was he who said God will provide himself a lamb and it was him that Christ said before Abraham was I am. And Abraham knew me and gloried to see my day...The proof is in the word of God.

You are right. Ishmael was Abraham's flesh son. Isaac was Abraham's spiritual son.
Ishmael represents the human part of Jesus.
Isaac represents the Spiritual (Godly) side of Jesus.
It was Isaac's birthright from God.

This is a legitimate question. First, the answerer named Ishmael is correct. Ishmael in the story was sent away with his mother and was not present at the time Abraham did what God had commanded. Second, the answerer Inam doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. He really should just sit over in the corner and be silent. Muslims and Christians believe two totally different concepts. So there is no comparison as to whether it was Ishmael or Issac. It's like comparing a "field goal" in basketball to a "field goal" in football. No camparison. Either you believe Islam or you believe the Judeo-Christian theology.

The place of the Ishmael sacrificial 'dolmen',or whatever, migh have been exactly the same place where Isaac was to be sacrificed, but since The Holly Koran is tracking down The step of Father Abraham and Siti Hagar, and her boyson Ishmael to be nurtured, instead of Siti Sarah, which you know the Baby Isaac weren't been born as yet. But should Isaac, the then prophet sacrificied story is repentence,(?), I can't hardly sees them for being a delige over religious story,or a misleading one, Let say :
The iedhul adha is a sacrificial thinks for most muslims, as the stories upon Ishmael, after he had carried to the spot on the Earth, which then known as Mecca, nor a city either then, So while
Abraham left them,Siti Hajar and the young Ishmael over there, and Abraham has spent some time with them, then He returned to where Sarah has,or would deliver Isaac after that,No ?
Or,rather Ismaeel ben Abraham been brouth-up in the place which is then called as the Mecca City, and Abraham been grew-up ever since in the place which then called Yerusalem,Belehem and the likes, didn't he ?
And both of them,Ismaeel and Isaac has passed their obedience to their father Abraham for being sacrified by the challenge of the Devil.pint drink ye blood of the holly Christ,I'd guesed.

You must read your Bible some more.
"And if a man have two wives. one beloved and another hated, and they have born him children, both the beloved and the hated: and if the firstborn son be hers that was hated:
Then it shall be when he maketh his sons to inherit that which he hath, that he may not make the son of the beloved firstborn before the son of the hated, which is indeed the firstborn.
But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for firstborn by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength: the right of the firstborn is his. (Deuteronomy 21:15-17)
The Bible describes Hagar as Abraham's wife (Genesis 16:3).
Christianity is not of Abraham and not of the Children of Israel and you will not find Christianity mentioned in any Scripture as a religion, not even in the Bible which is referred to as conjecture in the Quran when the Quran calls the crucifixion of Isa al Masih a Hoax, and the Bible agrees with the Quran that the crucifixion was indeed a Hoax.
Check The Age Of Reason at www.Xlibris.com and let it take you through the Bible for the agreement that the crucifixion was a Hoax.

When Abraham left his land he went somewhere near Egypt, and married a noble woman called Sarah and settled with her in Palestine, and many years passed and they weren't blessed with children
So, in keeping with tradition and with the hope of getting a child, Sarah suggested that Abraham must marry another woman, which he did and her name was Hajar. (her Egyptian handmaid)
After they got married Hajar gave birth to boy named: Ishmael.
Some time later, Allah promised Abraham another son, but from Sarah. and this son will be named: Isaac. Alla told that from him and his two sons, three religions and two main nations. The descendants of Ismael would Mohammed will come from. and from the descendants of Isaac Moses and Jesus will come from.
So, Allah told Abraham to take Hajar and Ishmael away from Palestine, so the plan would be completed.
So, Abraham would visit Hajar and Ishmael and then they were ordered to build the Ka'ba and call mankind to pilgrimage. therefore we do pilgrimage to answer the ancient call of Abraham.
I think that the Quran teaches so, to test Abraham's and Ishmael's faith in Him. Therefor Abraham answering Allah's call for him to sacrifice became what we do now in Eid Al-Adha..

"Then God said, "Take your son, your only son..." (Genesis 22:2).
Who was Abraham's "only son"? Ishmael was born several years before Isaac, so Isaac was never the only son.
There is no evidence for attributing to Abraham knowledge of some future "crucifixion."
Yes, Isaac is the grandfather of the Messiah, while Ishmael is the grandfather of the Seal of the Prophets (the final Messenger to humanity).
"And as for Ishmael, I have heard you: I will surely bless him; I will make him fruitful and will greatly increase his numbers. He will be the father of twelve rulers, and I will make him into a great nation" (Genesis 17:20).

Good question. It is also said in the bible that God called Isaac Abraham's ONLY son as he is the one God promised Abraham and Sarah. If Sarah had not tried to circumvent God and give her handmaiden to Abraham, Ishmael would not have even existed. God takes care of Ishmael, it must be noted, but he considered the son He gave Abraham the ONLY son who was to be sacrificed as proof of obedience.

That's interesting isn't it?
The Muslims say that they believe in the Torah. It is the source that they derive the Shirah Law from, they say. That is, except for the one's that do not know that, like the first answer you got.
So they SAY that they believe in the Torah, and yet change certain things with no scriptural authority to do so. In certain Muslim countries, they even ban anyone having in possession the Torah.
It reminds me of a quote from Jesus:
Matthew 11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.'
19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Here is a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and "sinners." ' But wisdom is proved right by her actions."
The Muslims want it their way, and are making it up as they go. They attempt to make the truth in their favor, instead of just comforming to it as it is.
Oh how blessed we are to have eyes to see, and ears to hear! ( :

You believe what you believe and we believe what we believe. There will come a day when we know everything for sure. Till that say comes, we can live together in peace and think of ways to make the world a better place rather than focusing on differences that do not really matter and can only draw us apart.
You are drawing proof from the Bible and the Torah while my book is the Quran. Will it convince you if I brought verses from the Quran t support what we believe in? Let go.
Peace

You are bit confused. You have not even gone through The Bible even so how can you translate Quran. In Quran it is clearly mentioned about the past prophets and the discription of the last prophet is also there.
There is no confusion on behalf of Muslims. It can be on your part as a Christian.
We as muslims follow our prophet's sayings and deeds and follow the verses of Quran. Do the christians follow Christ??????
Christ dint maryy so why do you marry and he never said to have wine or have sex without marrige.. Christians do all adverse practices which were not allowed in Bibles. ( many in numbers )
