My puppy Baxter is just over three months old and he's a LhasaPoo. He's the runt and it was very visible when comparing him to his sisters and brothers. When I got him at 2 months he was 2.3 pounds. I think he now might be three. He has always been tiny but he's starting to grow and I wanna estimate how big he is going to end up so I was wondering how many more months till he's done growing? Does anyone have and guess's how big he might get?

Considering Baxter is a mixed breed it is alittle hard to guess how much he will weigh at maturity. Full grown Lhasa's generally weigh around 16 pounds while Poodles can range anywhere from 6 to 17 pounds, depending on whether the parent poodle was a toy or a miniature. Judging by your description Baxter may have inherited more of the toy poodle gene.
Sex of the dog will also determine size, with males tending to weigh alittle more than females.
Though Baxter gained alittle over half a pound in the last month, he will most likely gain alittle more than that each month as he develops. He'll also gain weight faster with more excercise and as he approaches adulthood. His health and diet also determines his final weight.
Just to use as a reference, I have a Shi tzu/Yorkie that weighed about 4 pounds at 3 months old. When he reached maturity he weighed in at around 13 pounds. He, too, was the runt of the litter.

Dogs grow up to around a year, year and a half. I would say he will get close to about ten lbs. But thats only a guess. Continue on feeding him good puppy, and excise will help him grow also.
I just picked a 3 month old schaunzer (Chad) from a breed who kept him in a cage most of the time. But back to my point I feed him and excise him( play) and I swear that dog as grown in the last 3 days.

You can't Take another look at Scooby Doo. A Great Dane with a cat tail. Waiting until the puppy is 3 months old is not a good idea. Training starts the day the puppy comes home, Enjoy the new puppy.

My Toy Australian Shepherd was 3 lb at 2 months, she's 13lbs now and stopped growing at a year. She definitely had growth spurts. The most noticeable was when she stopped growing at 7 months (10lb) then all of a sudden she gain 3 more
at 9 months.

Every dog grows at there own pace, but usually they finish growing buy about 1 year of age. They do not fully mature until age two. If you want to estimate what size he will be, looking at his parents will be your best way of getting a general size. Remember that he is the runt and may not get as big.

He may reach around 6 pounds if he grows for the entire first year. Some vets- and I would check with yours first before doing this- say you can stop the puppy food around 8-9 months. By then the dog has all of the nutrients, fats, and calories they need to grow. This may also keep slightly smaller.

HI
Smaller dogs take less time to grow than larger dogs, they can be at their full size between 6 months to a year. My maltese was full grown at 8 months and then filled out by 1 year when she packed on her body weight.

Well it depends on what kind of puppy it is. If its naturally small then that abnormal but if its naturaly large its normal. And you have to wait more than three months.
I would deeply appreciate a five star rating.:)♥

At 4 months weigh him and multiply by 3 and that will give you an approximate adult weight.
