Some people believe that having a dream 3 times makes the dream come true. Then how would I interpret this?

I can envision being on a field in first person yielding the sword and cutting a path. This is all I view. The day is dark and there is a lot of things. I don't know what they are.

Having a recurring dream tells you that there's an issue around you that you haven't dealt with if they're happening at around the same time.
If they're distanced out by, say for example a number of years, then it tells you that something is happening around you which is a similar situation to the last time you had the dream.
Dreams are the brain's way of interpreting events, energy, situations or people around you. To find out the true meaning of your dream, ask yourself what the things in your dream mean to you eg. what does a flaming sword represent to you?
Symbolism in a dream can represent yourself or other people. There are a myriad of possible meanings for what you describe. You need to try and remember as much as you can about the dream - the setting, the background, other people or items around you, your actions, your feelings, your attire, your facial expressions etc. and put the whole thing together like a story.
It can take time at first, but you'll get a feeling or instinct as to it's meaning.

Maybe you want to be part of something big in the world like an angel after death or a protector, or maybe you just want to get some things out of your way because you are too stressed.

Having a dream three times means that it is a recurring dream and your subconscious mind is trying to tell you something. It doesn't mean the dream will come true, that is superstition.
