The average American male is 5' 8"
So, 5' 11" is taller than average but I don't know if I would say it is "tall" There are many 6' + men out there.
I'm 5' 8" I consider a tall guy to be 6' 2" or more.
Just my opinion!

Statisticly in america the average man is 5 feet 9.2 inches, so yeah it's tall, only by about an inch but ehhh an inch is an inch.

I'm sure I read somewhere recently that here in Australia 5' 11'' is spot on average.
