You will find details in other answers, but I'll tell you a very basic level difference, Hindus believe that "all is He" (the God) but Muslims believe that "all is His" (creation).
All is He means that as per Hindu belief, there is an ultimate God and the whole universe is his scattered shape, that tends to rejoin to Him (God), by getting a number of birth-rebirth, the system of reincarnation. As Hindu don't believe on hereafter, they say everything is this universe only.
Whereas opposite to Hindu belief, Muslims believe that the Creator and the creatures cannot be one, so the whole universe is the creation of one almighty Allah, and almighty He is The Unique, none of anyone like Him and almighty He has no partners.
Almighty Allah is not present everywhere by His personality Himself, but His reach is everywhere, due to His capabilities, qualities, attributes, wisdom and knowledge.
This universe is a test run meant for eternal life of hereafter.
I hope your interesting question is answered.

Islam (muslims) & Hinduism(hindus) are separate religions. Islam is monotheistic & Hinduism is pantheistic. Whatever its original intention may have been, Islam as practised under sharia law has evolved into a system of organised oppression. In such a system non-muslims are 2'nd class citizens & the" tolerance" they speak of is (for non muslims) the sort one would give one's dog. Certainly not the inalienable rights of a person by western standards. To be fair any state run according to the laws of a religion would, to a greater or lesser extent, be oppressive. Hinduism appears to be more tolerant in that India an overwhelmingly Hindu country adheres to the concept of a secular state. In the long run all religions are man's attempt to understand & explain God. As such they are an exercise in futility. There is probably more chance of an ant understanding humanity than there is of us understanding an omnipotent creator of the universe & everything in it, an infinite being. Indeed, one cannot add to infinity, ie infinity plus is a sheer impossibility. Therefore we all are either a part of God or a figment of his imagination. Ironically, I believe that concept has emrged from Hindu philosophy.

they're very different. Muslims take a similar tack to Jews/Christians (ironically) in that they follow one God and the teachings of various prophets, including those of the Old Testament and Christ (told you we had irony here) and then later their (considered to be) last prophet Mohammed- whereas the Hindus believe in a variety of gods (eg with many arms or the head of an elephant). To Hindus, cows are sacred....to Muslims pigs considered unclean; and so on. Yeah, do Google - like the others suggest

I cannot tell you about Hinduism as I did not study it but can tell you about Islam.
You are a muslim when you believe in Allah, His angels, His messengers, the Holy Books, the afterlife and fate. The 5 pillars of Islam are:
1. believing that there is not God but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah
2. praying
3. fasting during Ramadan
4. paying zakat
5. hajj if you can afford it (physically and financially)
Islam is a way of life. It is part of everything we do; not only prayers at the mosque and occasional fasting. There are criteria to treating our parents, friends, neighbours, community, how we function as individuals and groups, etc.
Hope this helps
Peace

sometimes probably u won't find a difference,but then if u r talking about practising muslim n practising muslims....they r ttwo poles apart....
oneness of God....basis of islam....is not in hinduism....
islam believes on solid evidence that Quan, word of God...while hindus believe on some pandit's hand written Gita...which changes according to requirement of time...
among 5 pillars....charity....nothing like tis supported in hinduism...
n equality n tolerance...islam puts gr8 emphasis on it....but hinduism believes in cast system...
islam teaches they can n shud eat everything n anything which is allowed from Allah(except like pork n wine) ,whereas hindus...take cow as very holy n priviledged....so they r aganist eating meat...
totally different principles...totally opposite...i don't really know where they agree upon.
