The theory is that you coat the stomach just before you go out with milk to stop the alcohol absorbing so quickly.....sort of works but not very well......You are better off having a proper meal to allow the alcohol to be absorbed into your system slowly. Empty stomach....quicker into your bloodstream.....full stomach...body has to disolve food to absorb the alcohol....easey peasey..... Hubby used to do it.....drink a pint of milk that is......and apart from having lovely healthy bones it didn't do an ounce of good.....enjoy a sensible meal before hand!

They say a pint of milk lines the stomach so it should stop you throwing up... but i never tried it! Worth a try aint it!

yes good idea - it's the fat content which slows the absorption of alcohol into the blood stream.
Also good is a big fry-up or chips.

They do say that it works - it's worth a try. although i expect that if you get totally smashed then it wouldn't work, but it will work for moderate drinking.
