I need to by pass the administrator and fix my media player/DVD?

Ask your IT Support Center & maybe when your Boss finds out he will let you watch movies all day at home !

Look carefully at the Company IT Policy. I bet is says something like 'Computer equipment is provided only for work use. Your use of computers will be monitored and incorrect use result in you being FIRED.

Most work computers are monitored automatically & records are kept, but (usually) no-one looks at them untill they need to find some reason to down-size you. They know every email you send, every web site you visit.
