Contrary to other answers poppers are not 'one of the most dangerous drugs to take'. However they can cause problems for people who have heart problems or who are anaemic. This is because they cause blood vessels to dilate allowing a rush of blood to the head - this is the pleasant effect that some people seek. Poppers can cause fainting and headaches.
Poppers are a form of alcohol - but would be very dangerous if they were taken orally. The fluid itself is very caustic and can burn the skin around the nose if the liquid comes into contact with the skin. The sores from incorrect inhaling technique or excessive use is very unattractive and can easily become infected looking like a bad case of impetigo. Never a good look!
Poppers are legal to buy and to use in the UK.

The only time I've ever had a bad experience (after 2+years using) is if they are stale. That only results in a headache. If they are fresh, no side-effects at all. I did research before starting using them, and could find no repercussions other than those posted by those that know no better. They are NOT addictive, as I have gone as long as 6-months without. They are only useful in certain 'situations' anyway.

The only "poppers" I have anything to do with are those sold at Arby's and Sonic. Stuffed jalapenos, fried and served with ranch dressing. They are called "rat toes" and I can eat a BIG serving of them!!!!

Poppers are used before anal sex (hetero or homo sexual) to dilate the sphincter muscles of the anus. So potential bad side effects include the loosening of the anal muscles, as well as severe headaches and dizzy spells. Microstrokes have been reported also in some cases. They are also potentially fatal if ingested.

I don't personally use them but have a few friends past and present that have dabbled, I don't know of anyone having any problems though, a bit of a stinking headache as they wear off seems to be usual though ;o)

MMM popcorn....oh poppers! One of the dumbest and worst drugs you can take! Congratulations! You're friend is choosing one of the most dangerous drugs to take! If they are going to do a drug and you can't sway them no matter what...have them go with weed or shrooms. Alot safer. That is if you can't stop them from doing a drug no matter what.

definatley not the best expiriance ive ever had, but its not addictive. i cant imagine it very good for your lungs, or any other part of your body for that matter. i cant imagine anything less attractive in a girl, walking around with a bottle of liquid gold stuck up her nose. mmmm

when i was a wee whippersnapper and nosing around my sister's bedroom (after she had just got back from glastonbury) i came across a little bottle which i assumed to be perfume! after i inhailed deeply the floor fell away from me and i ended up on my back. it wasn't the most pleasant experience and it taught me to not nose around my sister's room! (well for a couple of days anyhow)
