well Bon B is right about dark worst then milk but my friends dog ate 14 chocolate bars(she was selling bars and the dog somehow sneaked in the room she was hiding them in) and then ate a whole tray of cookies in one day. so if u can get ur dog to eat grass or something cuz dogs will eat grass on purpose when they want to throw up to bring something that's upsetting them out. so take ur dog for a walk and see if it'll eat any grass he may on it's own. i know my dog does when she's not feeling rite and then she feels much better later.

Yes, the dark chocolate is worse than milk, because it has more theobromine which is what is toxic.
Semi-Sweet Chocolate. Mild signs of toxicity can occur when 1/3 ounce per pound of body weight is ingested. Severe signs occur when 1 ounce per pound of body weight is ingested. This means that as little as 6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate can be toxic to the nervous system of a 20-pound dog. A 10-pound cat would need to ingest 3 ounces.
Watch out for these symtoms of poisoning - Once toxic levels are reached, the stimulants kick in, and this is when you really have to worry. Symptoms include: restlessness, hyperactivity, muscle twitching, increased urination and/or excessive panting. If your pet isn't treated, he could go into a seizure – possibly even die.
So, if you seen any of those things, get them to the Vet ASAP, with the label of what they ate. I'm sure they'll let you pay them later if you don't have the money. Good Luck!

Dark is worse then milk, but if this is the first time that they have eaten chocolate or one of the few, then they'll probably be okay. It takes more then a few kit-kats to cause liver shunt. Just, in the future, keep the sweets hidden and away from the pups. But, it happens. I'm sure that he'll be fine. If he starts throwing up or doing anything that is totally out of the ordinary, then take him to the vet.

Chocolate of any kind is unsafe for dogs, with dark chocolate being alittle worse. Chocolate is harmful to most dogs but can be deadly for others. If you care at all for your pooches then you would take them to the vets regardless of the cost.
But If you don't want to rush to the vets then just keep a close eye on them for the next 24-36 hours. If they start to vomit or have diarrhea that won't stop, become lethargic, or display any unusual behavior, then get them to the vets immediately.
I hope they'll be alright, with or without a vets help.

Your dogs are OK. My dog cleaned out bag full of sweets couple of weeks ago, amongst others a slab of chocolates - he ate it with wrapping and all, and he still around wagging his tail asking for more.
