First God is the creator of everything that was created. The Bible tells us that those who seek the truth will find him. Therefore God is available for everyone to know personally. There is no secret to knowing God The first thing is knowing we need him and this will cause us to seek him and we seek him through his word and in prayer and in meditation. When we seek we receive a gift called faith and through this faith comes revelation and we then have begun a relationship with him and we know him.

Hi there.
The confusion you have is not surprising. There are two theories in this world. And it comes down to something very simple. Either, you believe the world came into being from an intelligent designer, or you believe in the evolution theory that chance, accident and random processes brought things into being.
God or evolution, either one. Your beliefs, will depend on what you believe happened in the very beginning. As none of us were there to say exactly what and how it happened, we have to rely on what has been passed down through generations from our ancestors. The bible is over 2000 years old, a book that was written by the men of old, holy men who were inspired and directed by the holy spirit of God. Within this book, from the very beginning, God explains to us how He created the world. All of the creatures, the plants, the people and yes including dinosaurs. Dinosaurs dwelled on earth with man, there is evidence that they were on the earth at the sametime. This is not hard to believe.
God the Father is the creator, He made the heavens and the earth. Jesus, the Son of God came later to die for our sins. Jesus is not only the son of God, He is God Himself. It is very hard to explain, that God is one, yet three person dwell within One God. The creator, the savior, and the holy spirit, but all one in the same. This is called the holy trinity and is a mystery.
If you read the bible properly, you will discover a description of the dinosaur, spelt out in the book of Job. Other areas of the bible are also clear.
Nor the earth, or a dinosaur are capable of being here before God, as they cannot create themselves. He is both the creator and the sustainer of the universe. If you write God off, you may as well question your own existance.

When you have an idea, does that idea have power and then start to think things, do things, and create things? No. This is also true of creation. What has been created does not come back to haunt God and tell Him what’s up. God created all and is the sum of all ideas. His ideas can not die. So then what is a dinosaur or a mortal man that appears to die? Is God’s image subject to death? Nothing can be created without God and nothing could be created before Him, as He has always been. The heart knows these truths, but human thought silences what is natural to the heart.

Dinosaurs were on the earth before God???
WOW girl, that's classic. Just because dinosaurs are not in the Bible, doesn't mean anything. The Bible is a book of knowledge and instruction for PEOPLE. I think they left the dinosaurs out otherwise people like you would be more hopelessly confused than you are right now.

The bible is a story written about an event that happened over 2000 years ago. Like with any written matter, it has been changed many many times from the original messages that Jesus would have been attempting to share due to the interpretations of the transcribers and writers etc. The original message could have been very different.
Really all we can depend upon knowing these days is that Jesus was telling people of a point of view with love as the basis behind it. It's safe to assume that it was based upon good, ethical behaviour.
The rest of it unfortunately can be as relied upon as a very long game of chinese whispers - there's no way of knowing what it was or whether anybody got the information correct. It's good to know though that a message of love is well received the world over no matter what year it is.

Hey, it's good to ask the questions that bother you! Remember, maybe the people who said that God has been made up by people are just making it up, so don't listen to anybody!
The Bible hasn't been 'made up' but written by 44 different people over a period of 1500 years, and still the 66 books all carry one message - that there is a God who created the universe (not HOW, but THAT he did, remember it was written by primitive people, that he loves you and has sent us Jesus to show us what his heart looks like. Quite amazing, isn't it?
A LOT of research has been done by people who aren't all that dumb, I think, and have you heard of the dead sea scrolls which were discovered in the 1900's? Read up about them and you won't wonder if the Bible was made up!

Peace!
The stories in Genesis 1-11 are Near Eastern myths picked up by Jewish writers. They are meant to be read as parables with a theological message.
The rest of the Bible from Abraham to Jesus Christ and his apostles are recorded history. They are not made up; in the same way that God is not an invention of men.
It is easy to prove the existence of God. Who gave us the ability to distinguish right from wrong? Even a newborn baby has that ability.
A Happy & Prosperous New Year To You!

Sorry, no one can tell you for sure, but what you've said is a distinct possibility. As we thank God for all the things He has done for us, we are also reminding ourselves that those are the things we should also be doing for others.
It doesn't matter what came before creation, who wrote the Bible, or what's in store in the afterlife, but living your life from lessons learned in the Bible will make this world a better place for you and for all of humanity.
Peace!

You've got that backwards. God created man in His own image and the Bible is the Word of God.
