Typically, all you have to do is show the cat to the litter box and they will use it instinctively. I've never actually had a cat that I had to train to use one, just set them in and walked away.

Your use of "make wee" (sounds like a kid talking) and defecate (a very technical word) in the same sentence amuses me.
