I am rather amazed by the (silly) responses.

Traditional Biryani always has mutton cooked with rice. Nowadays, you also find stuffs like veg and chicken Biryani. Biryani is a full meal in itself.

Pulao is fried rice with nuts, saffron, spices and is not considered a full meal.

Polao is for Vegetarians.
Only potato, carrots, onions,
beans, green chillys, coconuts
nuts etc are added.

Biriyani is for Non- Vegetarians only.
Biriyani has some of the above, and
either chicken or mutton are
there in it and spices are used
liberally. Some times boiled eggs
are also added as per the taste
of the regions.

These are 3 completely different dishes with completely different spices. Biryani is made with saffron while pulao is a vegetarian dish made cinammon and cumin. Fried rice is just that. Rice that is fried.
