i'm going to a new years party where the guy that i like will also be, he knows that i like him, but he doesn't want to ruin our friendship so i don't know if he will ever ask me out or make a move. how can i help him make a move? should i make a move on him?

If he already said that he doesn't want to ruin your friendship..... he meant it. He isn't interested in you THAT way.
Guys have told me that they thought of me more like a sister. No amount of flirting, logical arguments or temper tantrums could change anything. We just stayed friends!

Wow, the old "doesn't want to ruin our friendship" line. Guys have been using that one since Adam & Eve. I don't get it? Women are so much smarter then men yet when they get a good kiss off line it doesn't sink in. No matter what you do, this dude isn't going to want to stick with you. Making the moves on him would be cool, but not with him. He has already told you it ain't going work. so stop waisting you time. Move on him tonight and your another one night stand. Shop some where else. This dude ain't looking to buy into what you are selling.

Get him really really drunk and seduce him. If you don't want to ruin the friendship, then you might have to just settle for being friends. No biggie, find some other dude to make out with on New years. Good luck.

Bring a sprig of mistletoe with you, make sure you both have a little too much to drink, keep things fun and light and drag him into a closet or darkened room at midnight. If he responds, go for it. If it creeps him out, then you have your answer!
