i am using a sony handycam dcr dvd 605e. it cannot be connected to the pc. i would like to know whether there;s any cable kinda like an av to usb cable so that i could connect to my pc.. would it detect the handycam??

I don't know of any av to usb cable, and I doubt, in the absence of software, that your camera would be recognised anyway. Surely, however, as it records to dvd, you take that dvd out of the camera, put it in the dvd reader on your computer, download from there and edit?

I think that is to get component out on a PSP, which can use its USB port for what it wants. Your computer, on the other hand, is limited to using its USB just for power and as a system bus connection. There is no way for such a cable to be of any use on a computer.
