As far as I know I was produced, not reproduced. I guess it is possible that I am a clone from an original copy of myself. Sounds to me like the drugs you use to numb yourself from your own shortcomings is some good stuff.

My parents did NOT have to numb themselves with anything and there were five of us. MY PARENTS taught us RESPECT FOR OURSELVES, OTHERS AND HOW TO BEHAVE.What makes You think people need to do drugs to keep their children in control? My parents were not perfect however, we all had wonderful educations, raised our children with the same moral fiber as my parents and now my children have degrees, homes, incomes, and raising families that were raised just the way they were. So much for your theory Parents Need to do Drugs.

I just wished some of these fools would at least attempt to raise the animals that have spring from their loins!
It's almost fun watching the strange in-breds reproducing the next generation of slackers. Until you remember that these will be the hospital/resturant workers when we are old - scary!!!

My parents raised me to be responsible for my own actions, thoughts and feelings, and so never needed to resort to any means of numbing themselves!
Wish all parents would not only do that for themselves, but also for their children - and for the rest of us.

any parents who take drugs have problems. its not the childrens problem or the childrens fault and dont let anyone tell ya any differently. give it the hell up. taking drugs so you can raise your kids? you shouldn' thave had childdren then. you should have your kids taken from you if you really TRULY have to take a drug in order to be numb so you can raise the kids you "reproduced" give it the hell up. this is such bull **** and i cant' stand it. if this was posted as a joke? get a LIFE WTF

A strong sense of humor. If you come from a family where your parents had to be high in order to raise you and your siblings, that was their problem. Don't let it be yours. Not all families live this way, in fact, other than TV, very few have to get drunk or high to raise their kids. Don't let media fiction taint your view of what a good family can be.

you sound like a child of the parents you have described,realize its a disease,a choice,and a lifestyle,it sneaks up on you,and just when you think its controlled,WHAM! the devistation is widespread and I only hope you realize it is a problem we as a nation face,one person at a time,its better to educate yourself in this then point fingers,because they (the parents have not realized they are no longer in control)

they don't. actually, they don't have to. but if they do, they don't because having painful feelings are better than having no feelings at all. it only shows that you care about the person and that you are living a life. ang facing these feelings is the better thing to do than escaping. remember that having success over a very painful event or hopeless battle is the most fulfilling.
