Which will we fight over most? Simple..... the one that stands to bring someone the most profit. Water may become very scarce and yet I still imagine that the fighting will be over petroleum. The rich want to be the richest. The richer want to maintain the control. The fighting over petroleum will continue until we all encounter a world wide obstacle that will demand people coming together for a common cause. Hmmm.... wonder what that will be? Probably the lack of water.

Neither. I really don't see oil as a problem at least for another hundred years and by that time, I think new alternative fuels will have been researched enough for us to stop depending on fossil fuels for energy in our cars. As for water, water is so abundant that it isn't really a problem for most people living outside of less developed countries. Of course, I'm talking about Western society here. As for those undeveloped countries where political stability is a grave issue, these problems will continue to haunt the average citizen as there will be a diminishing supply in petroleum (meaning higher prices) and water treatment facilities are ineffective.

Petroleum at first, till we figure out what our priorities ought to be. Then it will be fresh water. There will be more bloodshed over fresh water than there ever has been for petroleum.

Last time I looked most of the wars the USA started were about oil and none about water.

water as by the time we reach a stage when petroleum finishes man would find a new & good source of energy.but water is water..

petroleum.they will know how to purify water.they will also know hot to fight and kill for petroleum.God bless us all.
