Yes. It may not be quite as lavish as the people who take six months or more, but you can do it. Think of the little things you can do, and let the cater and the other professionals do the big parts of the planning. Make a schedule and calendar everything, and keep to your schedule. Keep in close contact with the various people who need to meet deadlines for you, such as the dressmaker and the printer. I would say get your invitations out ASAP, because people need a good bit of lead time to plan for their attendance: travel and lodging arrangements, a new dress, perhaps, and certainly a gift.

If you know crafty people, weddings are a big deal for them and they will be delighted to help. Let them make the favors for the tables, the bridesmaids and ushers gifts, and the decorations. Plan to have a little party after you get back from your honeymoon to thank these friends for their help. An afternoon tea would be nice.

If you are not having to save for the wedding then OF COURSE!
The first things that you have to do is find an available venue and send the invites out that way people can save the date. All the other stuff like flowers, dresses and catering can be thrown together the last month or couple of weeks actaully if need be. Just remember that the marriage is more important than the wedding, and to enjoy yourself and the planning.

Of course you can! It might just be harder to find a church and reception site (if that's what you're doing). You will probably need to buy a dress off the rack instead of ordering it so that will cut down your options greatly. It took about 2-3 months for my dress to come in then I had to get a lot of alterations which took forever since my dress had so much detail. They recommend ordering your dress 6-9 months before your wedding. I think that's the only thing you're going to have trouble with. Along with your bridesmaids dresses. You're going to have to get started NOW though!! Good luck and congratulations!

Yes you can. You may not be able to book a Saturday wedding, but look at a Friday night wedding and reception. For inexpensive invitations with a less than 2 week turn around and 30% off...go to www.abcustom.com....they also have planning worksheets

I would not recommend it. But, it depends on a lot. Especially, the size of the wedding and where you will host it. You will have a hard time finding a place to have a reception with such short notice. You can certainly try, but it would take working on it day and night.

Sure. I hope you started planning right now though. I am starting to think 10 months from now isnt enough. I already have most of the stuff down. It may be stressful, but It can be done. Good luck, Congrats, and have a Happy New Year!

Very possible. You just need to come up with a plan & go from there. If there are people you need to hire, you need to pick a day to just sit down & call people just to make sure you can book what you need. I'd start with the location & work from there. Goodluck!

.....maybe you can do lots of decorating yourself, try to find an all-inclusive wedding site, that provides catering, table decorations, wedding cake, linens and maybe even a d.j.,the price they quote you should include everthing,or you could get married by a judge and have a bigger reception
