If the person who is 45 is happy and has a fullfilled life in other ways than no, there isn't anything wrong with it.
We only live once, you have to do what you feel is best for you.
Do not worry about others and what they think you should do.
You are not hurting anybody by being single at 45.
If you are happy then who cares.
Psst, even people who are married get lonely.

Depends upon the person, some people actually enjoy not having a mate for various reasons, and then time can pass very quickly through those interludes. Write down on paper what qualities are essential to have in a mate, but give it some elbow room too. Ask God to bring this person this into your sphere. It is good to say I would like this or something better in your statements about the person. Afterward look at the paper daily and pray or meditate whatever suits you best in bringing this person into your life. Affirm that the perfect mate is already here. So make your statements affirmitive about the subject. If you can pick up a Wayne Dyer Book Manifest your destiny or Getting into the Gap or The Power of Intention, he has also had a pbs seris. Within these books are more specifc outlines for discovering what you want and reaching that goal through sending the right energy out there. There is someone for everyone, we just have to connect to a higher source than us to accecss it so that it is what we want instead of a random hodge podge of what we dont want. Also you can go to Hay House radio
http://www.hayhouseradio.com/?utm_id=art100
they have wayne dyer and other host on there that give you guidance in ways to do it right, they have a radio archive so you can click on the host name and say Wayne Dyer and it will show all the shows he has done in the last year and you can listen to them all. There are a few others on there that are relationship specilist etc. Yet all in all it is hard to find a mate when we dont look for the right things or qualites in that mate or ourselves but nothing is wrong with discovering yourself also. Take care and I hope this helps.

If you haven't found a mate(at least a temporary live-in situation) by the time you're 45, you're probably not going to make an easy choice of dates. You've been alone for so long that accepting other people's peety foibles is an almost untenable situation for people that late in life. How's your patience?

About five percent of white women have never married by age 45. So, it's unusual but not unknown. "Normal" is a tricky word, as is "proper." It's all how you define it.

No not at all, despite what some people may think, the individual is a complicated specie & when someone feels right about someone then it will possibly happen.

I am 59 and never found a woman to tolerate me--I am a firefighter with a crummy schedule. They say that love conquers all, but I guess no one ever could find it in their heart to love me for what I am. Keep trying and Happy new year

They are being too picky. There are so many fish in the sea. If you look at it like that, really. Too picky.

No, it's perfectly normal among pathetic losers, especially ones who are doomed to die alone.
