Yes.

That's why I don't.

And you must think about how much of the Bible was passed down by way of mouth before it was committed to paper. And yes, the Bible is basically a giant game of "telephone". A bunch of storied written down by MEN who thought themselves to be "inspired" by God. It sounds absurd to me....and so do all the stories.

Yes. Look for the inspired or spiritual significance of passages. This can never be altered by the telephone tag problem, for they will always be there and true. A literal sense of the bible does raise confusion and questions, and leads to dead ends.

The words in the Bible are inspired and underwritten by the Holy Spirit. When the words in the Bible reflect the truth that God intends the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, will bring it to pass (Isaiah 55:11). Its infallibility is demonstrated by God as truth. In other words God will surely confirm the Word. This is the proof that the word of God is truly and accurately conveyed.

Excellent, excellent point. You have touched on the main reason I rejected Protestantism about 15 years ago. Either you trust the organization that gave us the Bible, the Catholic Church, or you don't.

You are right, but it doesn't mean you can't believe in what the Bible says. Its just may require a little help, faith, and prayer to decide.

Here is the secret except it is no secret it is in his word. You seek the truth in his word and in prayer and in meditation and God gives you a gift of faith and through this faith you receive revelation and you come to know a living God who is real and available to all who seek him.
