Put down some foil so your oven doesn't get to dirty.
I like to split the top and after the hot dog opens up a bit
I put in a slice of cheese...
My daughter calls it a cheesy dogs.

If you put them on the rack, they will leak all over the bottom of your toaster and stink it up. If you put them on some foil, they will be a bit more fried than grilled, but this is the way I usually cook them. Maybe if you hung some foil under the rack to catch the drippings.

yeah and they are awesome.. I tell you another way but make sure you have a vent over your stove ..take a skillet and cut the hot dogs in half and put them on like a hamburger at a high temp ,let them get almost black and then put four slices on bread with mayo.. omg they are fantastic..
