It would not be advisable to use baking soda for your pizza. Instead use a teaspoon of baking powder. Try the following recipe that I have devised and use all the time:
500 grms Plain Flour,
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
60 grms Margarine,
1/4 teaspoon Salt,
30 grms grated Cheddar Cheese,
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian Herbs.
Approximately 125mls of Milk and 125mls of Water.
Method:
Put the flour, baking powder, salt and herbs in bowl.
Add margarine and mix to crumble texture.
Add grated cheese and mix.
Gradually incorporate the milk and water till you reach a dough like consistency that you can 'knockback' and then roll out. (You might not need all the milk or water so add a liitle of the liquids sparingly till you get the correct consistency!
Roll out on a lightly floured surface
Place dough on to lightly floured tray and prick dough all over with either a pastry docker or a fork to inhibit rise of the dough.
Bake at 170c 340f gas 4 for approximately 10 minutes.

No, but you could use natural yoghurt if you have some, about 3 tablespoons should do it in place of 1 yeast sachet. Don't use baking soda, it's for cakes. You need the springy bread-like dough that you can only get from a multiplying culture
