Or do people actually bring in their shampoo and soap, etc?

Just curious....And if people do bring in their stuff, what should you use to hold all that stuff?

If I have to be somewhere important after my workout, I'll bring a bar of soap and a bottle of shampoo. But if I don't have anywhere in particular to be, i'll just rinse off the stink and go on my way.

it depends on the person and the gym. some people might not fell as comfortable as others to take a full on shower with shampoo and soap in the gym and would just rather rinse of and wait until they are in the privacy of their own home to actually shower. if u do decide to take ur stuff with you a zip lock bag or a travel kit is always an option

If I go to a gym that is several kms from my home, I will always bring soap and shampoo to clean up after my workout.

To hold it while travelling to and from the gym i carry it in a small toiletry bag in my larger gym bag. And when I am in the shower I just put them on the floor or on a bench that is in the shower stall.

On the other hand if the gym is five minutes away from my home, I will have my shower when I get home.

Personally, i just wear my gym clothes home, and shower there. I find communal showers kinda nasty.
I do however, keep a ziploc bag with my shampoo and a bar of soap in my gym bag, JUST IN CASE I felt I had to shower at the gym. (I wouldn't just rinse, my head sweats, I'd want to wash my hair and my body off)

I can not speak for everyone but I myself do actually take my shampoo and body wash into the gym showers so that I can take a complete shower. Who wants to walk around smelling of sweat?
