We blame the gay community for spreading AIDS/HIV. We also blame them for child molestation. But, there are some facts being ignored. While AIDS/HIV may be more common in gay men than in heterosexuals, it is LESS common in lesbians. We also assume that if a person molests a child of the same sex, that it is done by a person who is homosexual. This is, in most cases, UNTRUE. Many are pedophiles with no sexual attraction to other adults. And many, if not most, are sexually attracted to both boys and girls. So, does anyone else think that it's time we stop hiding our hatred behind these excuses?

djmantx- I was referring to our society as a whole (notice the "we" could also include me) The point I am trying to make, is if you take away these myths, the only real reason left for denying Gay unions (marraiges, whatever you want to call it), or denying gays the right to adopt, are religious reasons. And here in America, we have something called separation of church and state.

Of course it's unfair. Homosexuals are no different from 'straight' people, other than sexual preference, which, by no means, makes anyone an AIDS carrier, or a pedophile. You'd think an intelligent person with any amount of common sense would know this, but apparently, there are a lot fewer people with common sense than I thought.

First I'm not sure who you are referring to as we. But if you re saying that believers feel this way or that is is somehow from God I am sure you have been mislead first Homosexuality is homosexuality be you male or female and sex outside of marriage is sin. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God/ It does not matter your sin of choice the wages of sin is death. It is the reason that God came to the world in the form of man to overcome temptation and to remain perfect and to pay the penalty of death for us.
