wel a lukewarm bath or sponge bath may help cool someone with a fever. This is especially effective after medication have been given otherwise the temperature may bounce back up but make sure u don't use cold baths or alcohol rubs cause this only cools the skin and could make it worse by raising the core body temperature. also give him lots of water but don't force him to drink too much since there's a slight chance of hyponatremia. but u should hav him hydrated

Febrifuge is a natural homeopathic remedy that will reduce or eliminate fever; Or even better rid him of the vomiting first by giving him 2 drops of peppermint oil in water and have him sip continuously until the vomiting stops. In the mean time cover his backside from shoulders down with a wet cool towel.
Good luck mom, hope he feels better soon.

Fever has a purpose . . . it cooks to death whatever is causing the problem. Feeding that fever by making him warmer will help him get well quicker. An old-time remedy for nausea and vomiting is jello-water. If you have jello mix on hand, dissolve according to package directions and cool down with ice, then have him sip the liquid. Popsicles are good, too.
Hope this helps.

You shouldnt put a child in ice water it will cause the shivers which will then raise his inner temperature. You can use luke warm water. You also could have him sit quietly with loose fitting clothes. you also could call a pharmacy and they may reccomend somthing you havnt tried like perhaps its okay to have him take tylenol since its acetominophen not Ibuprofen.

soak his feet up to his ankles in warm water (like in a bucket or something)
and with a cold wet washcloth rub his neck and forehead
try this for about 15 min.
another remedy is take a bucket, squeeze the juice of one lemon into it, add 10 parts water (i.e. if you got 2 tablespoons of juice, add 20 tablespoons water)
soak a hankerchief in that solution, wring it a bit and tie it around his calf overnight

Yes, keep wiping his face down with a warm/cool washcloth. It seems to help me out when needed. Either it works or it just make me feel better. Also, Warm Cinnamon tea does the job...
Good Luck and I hope your son feels better soon.

Have your tried tylenol? Sounds like you should give your doctor a call though, if the fever is that high, there's a good chance that he could benefit from antibiotics.

Is the 102 in fahrenheit? If so let him take a shower every once in a while to decrease his temporature. But not to expose him outside after showering.
