Strange as it may seem, your cat is not attacking you out of hostility, but because he is a perfectly normal cat. Many cats nip and bite when they're happy, particularly if they have a low threshold for stimulation. You can learn the warning signs of when your cat's becoming overstimulated: you might feel his muscles tense or see his tail twitch or his rear end waggle. If you can tell he's about to bite, stop petting, and pet him again when he's calmed down. If your cat is stalking your feet, he's engaging in what is called predatory-play behavior. He has a natural instinct to attack moving objects in the wild. Indoors, your feet are the only moving prey he has to ambush. The easiest way to prevent this behavior is by making sure your cat is neutered, which is the first step toward making him less aggressive.
Second, you can give him plenty of non-human moving targets to play with by trailing a string across the floor, waving feather toys, or giving him balls to bat around. Finally, you can help change his behavior by consistently discouraging his attacks. Safe and effective ways to do this are spraying him with a water bottle or using a can of compressed air--just like the ones used on computer keyboard--to make a loud hissing sound. If you are vigilant and discourage the attacks consistently, you'll take a big step toward changing your cat's behavior.

Does he growl while biting you? If not then maybe he has just had enough "together time" When he bites put him down and walk away, this lets him know your not pleased. He may be trying to play, cats play ruff. Hang a catnip filled toy on a bungee cord type apparatus from the middle of a room or doorway, (out of your way) and just off the floor where he has to reach up just a little to grab it,he will love this as it will spring back and he will have to chase it. You may need to pull it down for him to reach at first but once he knows this is for him he will have a ball. Cats need to be active, hunting and so on. Keep his mind challenged and he will be a healthy happy non aggressive pet you can enjoy.

OH yay some1 with a cat like mine! GLAD TO MEET YOU TRULY! I started spraying my cat with water if it did that. It still does it a lil' but it most of the time it's good now. Simple things trigures my cat though like the bird in the other room whistling, or the doorbell, phone, the airconditioner, the dog coming in the door, some1 yelling or laughing. the dog barking outside..... I mean seriously it's hard. I have a house with about 32 animals, so that cat is just a misfit. LOL We had to put this one inside and declaw it. Because before it would jump on our face and start scratching that, then we would push it off and it would start scratching our arms and hands. Now it just scrtches with its back feet and bites! It's starting to calm down though.
We have about three differant methods going on, differant people have differant oppinions on it. Theres 8 people in my family so...
Me and two others are doing water and we get bit or scratched sometimes but not alot.
My brothers (2) starts yelling and scares the CRAP out of the cat when it does it. It is scraed to DEATH of him now.
My younger sister throws it off her lap and screams bloody murder till it inches back over and rubbs agianst her leg. LOL
My two older sisters flick it lightely on the ear and it stopps for a few seconds and starres at them.
OH, and our niebor likes it so she just lets it go (wich isn't helping with teaching it) *sigh*
.....As I'm riting this I relized we sound like an abusive family towards that cat....we truly aren't the cat has never got hurt and we would NEVER hurt our animals i promise. We truly love the cat and other animals.
Please e-mail me and maybe I can get some Ideas off you, your the first person I've found with a cat like mine LOL.
P.S. Shalini S....did I spell that rite? No, I took him to the vet and he just sat the and watched it....He said that this was aggression, my cats tail starts shaking, his ears go back, his whiskers twitch, and he makes these almost snarling growling noises as he bites and attacks my arms. The get scratched so much some days the bleed.

Cats are unpredictable. Just imagine if you cat was a lion. You would no longer have hands or feet. Cats can been tamed. Your cat will let you know when he/she is pissed in a instant.
A cats life is simple... What else does he/she have to do in a day?

Your kitty is a bundle of energy and is just being playful. You can discourage his more distressing play habits by just saying "shhhh..." real firm or loud. He'll get the idea.

oh, I am sure, it wants to play with you. Why not buy a yo-yo and tie it with a longer yarn and use that as its toy instead. Try it.
