First of all I want to thank you for practicing first instead of just showing up at the course and unknowingly, being rude to other golfers with slow play and untidiness around the course! I have been playing golf for over 35 years, I feel that if you are serious about playing good golf, search around your area for teaching pros and go watch them give lessons. When you find one that semi swings as you do and has a build like yourself, take a few lessons with him/her and then practice the lesson they give you before going to the course. I have seen too many people take a lesson and then get aggravated because the run to the course and screw up the round. DRILL it into you head before playing or taking another lesson. Enjoy the game, it is wonderful!

Practicing is great. But you're probably practicing with some bad habits. Could be your grip on the club or many other things regarding your stance or swing.

Take lessons from a pro before you continue to practice.

I've been playing for 20 years, and the worst thing is to practice with bad habits.

Try to concentrate on a consistent "spot" that your back swing ends and your golf swing begins. Most beginners are too quick on the way back and end up rushing through the swing

Get professional help. If you must practice on your own practice your short game. I think those problems are easier to fix than messing with your full swing,

medicus driver and iron set. This will teach you the right way before you further develop the wrong way. I bought it too late and had to change so much but you can start with it now sooner and be better off. Search e-bay for a deal on them.

the only way your going to prevent bad habits with your golf swing is to see and work with a professional, right there at your home course,, or any golf course..Yes its going to be a little spendy, but, its worth it..
