it depends on the tattoo as to whether it looks manly or not. i think a fairy on the arm would be wonderful and i don't think that 6X4 is too big. it sounds perfect to me! i have lots of girl friends who have arm tattoos. i haven't ventured that far yet but i'll probably get there one day. anyway. good luck with your tattoo. be sure to research your artist and make sure they're good!

Of course it is your body and you are going to do as you like with it. That is a given. As to whether you should get a fairy on your upper arm I personally think they look better in discreet places kinda like peeping out over your underwear or bra. Lower back and abdomen is good for fairy tattoos but upper arm I am not so sure...

First of all I am a tattoo fanatic, but I think I can be objective here. First of all its your body you should do what makes you happy. That being said, it all depends on the art work if its something feminine (a fairy is pretty feminine) then you should be fine, perhaps add some background to it, do it in color and get a good artist to do it. I am getting ready to have a HUGE Back Piece done, I am so excited

If that's where you want it, that's where you put it. If it's your objective to impress men, you might want to go for a place more stereotypically 'feminine' or 'sexy' (like whoever said that thing about putting it peeping out of your underwear or bra...but that just brings the word 'skank' to mind...plus breasts and abdomens change shape a lot through the years, arms change somewhat less provided you keep yourself in shape). The upper arm is one of the bolder, more assertive places to put a tattoo, and there's nothing wrong with a little (or a lot of) girl power.
Basically, I say go for it.

its ur body but im gonna question anyone who thinks having a fairy on ur arm is manly. the thing with fairies is that oyu have to remember the size, the wings have to be huge to accomodate the body usually, and you can only make a face so small when tattooing. you may need to reposition your fairy or choose another place, but that will be something to discuss with your artist.

Do whatever you want. Its your body and you will have to live with it for the rest of your life. I personally don't think there's anything I would tattoo on my body except for maybe something with my kids, since they are part of my existence for the rest of my life too.

from one woman to another... if your basis for getting or not getting a tattoo is what men might think of it then maybe you should wait on getting it. this should be based on what you want and where you want it... not what anyone else might think... if YOU think it would look good there go for it
