I have a feeling you should probably have changed all your Ugandan money before leaving the country and arriving in the UK, as in many part of the world it is usually illegal to import/export the local currency, especially if it is not a "hard" currency like the US Dollar.

Most banks / exchange bureaux would probably not have a clue what a Ugandan bank note looked like and if it was a forgery or not, hence why you are likely to have serious trouble trying to change them.

If you are really stuck then I suggest phoning the Ugandan Consulate (020 7839 5783 - 58/59 Trafalgar Square) and seeing if they can change your money for you or can suggest somewhere that will.

Try the Exchange Centres in Oxford Street, they are open 24/7.
