Well whenever I have children I would like to have 3.

None yet for me. But this is so vague I can continue. Well, four children in an intact family (with a mother and father still married), is considered a large family in America today. Large families are the most common predictor of an authoritarian parenting style which creates negative mood tones in children. Children of larger families also have poorer stress coping skills and less of an internal ability to soothe oneself. Ummmm, so my conclusion to your question is, no more than three :O)
