Easy for you to check and see for yourself....run and count your foot falls. Look at the pedometer. Walk and count your steps and again, compare it to the pedometer.

There is a weight in every pedometer that clicks off the motion.

You may get the correct step count, but you wouldn't necessarily get the same distance or calorie count since your stride will be different.
