I burnt the skin under my underarm with hot wax & it is 2 shades darker.I don't know what to do or how to fix it --So I waxed the hair under my underarms and after 3 weeks I noticed that there is a dark patch under my underarm where I waxed it. I think I burnt it. I started applying original POLYSPORIN under my underarm every night but I only noticed a slight difference. So I basically need to know What I can do to heal it and remove the dark patch of what I think is the mark of a 3 week burn(will tea tree oil or olive oil help) ? and Can I re-wax my underarms if not can I sugar it?( Sugaring- another method of hair removal of a natural sugar and lemon based subsatance which is used for hair removal) PLEASE HELP!

you can wax again just make sure the temp is not to high and buy vitiam e tablets bust them open on the area and it will take about three weeks to clear the area completely and apply it every 2-3 hours if possible

Ooowww! That hurts! Don't wax, that's for sure, not until you're healed. Lots of hydrating cream until healed or Vitamin E. Sugaring is a lot like waxing, it will take surface cells off and could reopen a wound. Be patient, let it heal and then go to a licensed esthetician that uses hard wax (cooler wax and stripless) it's much easier on the skin!

I always use Vitamin E (NOT E-oil!) to take care of a burn. Break a capsule open and apply. Leaves no scar! Warning: may ge messy but it works.

If Vitamin E is not practical: Aloe Vera gel (100% pure) available at most any drugstore in the lotions section.

Next time: IMMEDIATELY apply COLD water for as long as you can until the burning stops may take up to an hour (too late now) Then apply one of the other remedies above.

Take car of your skin first. You need to put your health before vanity

It's better to shave. There are many glands there and it is dangerous to cause inflammations if you wax or sugar. As for the skin, buy some Vitamin B cream, that helps the skin (Bepanthol is one brand I know but I don't know if it exists in the US) and be patient, don't make things worse.

usually, being it is still fairly fresh, it will gradually fade, I've seen the same with laser hair removal. If still so bothersome in (in the unlikely event it still there) 6 months, their are treatments at cosmetic salons to rid it / Also, depends on your skin color/ethnicity.

why wax it and possibly get burnt again??? use a razor or get it professionally done. I don't know how to make your normal color get back though
