People will tell you so many different things, but like lalafoxyy said, the only way to trim any part of your body is through cardio exercise. Target exercises are for the strengthening and toning of your muscles underneath your fat. So burn away the fat with cardio and tone with weight lifting (light weights) and you will tone the muscle underneath the fat and burn the fat away. Make sure you do have a combination of cardio and light weight training because the building of lean muscle mass allows you to burn more calories when not exercising. Make sure you're eating right also to boost your metobolic rate.

what i do are squats (like go to a wall and brace your back against it and slide down it and hold a squat position for about 15 seconds, slide up, and repeat that about 5 times) if you do that when u get free time during the day it makes a big difference.
also you can lay down on your side and then straighten your legs. then u lift the top on very slowly as high as it will go. then slowly lift it back down never touching the ground. do that about 10 times on one leg then switch to the other. do each leg about 3 sets of 10
when those exercises get easier, increase the number you do.
TRUST ME THEY WORK AND MAKE YOUR THIGHS AND HIPS MUCH SLIMMER!
those exercises burn, but they work=]
also, JOG! jogging elongates your muscles and burns some serious fat all over your body. cardio is one of the best things to do to stay in shape. u should jog about 4 to 5 times a week. after about a week of jogging, increase the distance. keep doing that and ull see results too

Good question! But think of this 80% of how you look is how you eat. So only 20% of how you look will be from exercise. Running is the best exercise. Bruce Lee once said "Running is the Master exercise". So run and be free! Lifting weights will make you too hungry.

1.Lying on one side, raise your left or right leg up till you reach a right angle and put it down counting 8 times for both sides. The same as no.1 but this time instead of putting it up and down make a circle motion for both legs and thighs counting 8 times too.2. standing parallel to the wall press your back body on the wall and sat down in squatting position, hold this for 2 to 3 mins. inverted cycling and scissors exercise do wonders too.

Cardio is the only exercise that burns fat. You can do all the squats and spot zoning you want, but you will never see the results if your thighs are still covered by fat. Burn the fat first, then worry about slimming and toning.

Leg lifts (they kind of look like karate kicks to the front, back and side) are good. And you only kick as high as you're comfortable with. They're also good for the hips and behind. Good luck!

aerobic exercises,, and lots of them.....forget about all the junk fad stuff on tv,,, get yourself a membership to a fitness place like curves or one that specializes in womens fitness and find the program that suites you the best........
