It means you didn't react to it right. When he works up the nerve to actually tell you that, he would like to get some kind of postive feedback from you. So if you like him, you should approach him and let him know that you like him too! Good night!

May be he just likes you? May be he just likes you as a good friend? Depends on how old are you and when did he tell you that. If you are mature enough, you will smile and say hello everytime he passes by and puts nothing much into a comment. If he really wants you to be his girl friend, let him make up his mind and come to you. Life is beautiful. Go out, make more friends, jog, run, eat, enjoy, study and move on with your life and career. May be you will have a chance to meet somebody more mature and intelligent in future.

It means you should call him for a change. I get nervous about a woman who doesn't call me. Its like a game of chess, take it slow and pace yourself.
If he freaks you out by calling too often, then be suspicius. However if he doesn't call for a week, he is being cautious not to hurt your feelings.
It takes effort on both of your parts to continue into a relationship.

it means hes shy and is scared of rejection.if you like him make a move. ask him to the movies or something (it doesnt ALWAYS have to be the guy doing the asking).if you dont like him then let it go

did you ask if he liked you? because if that is the case he said that as to not hurt your feelings and is now avoiding you to prevent that from happening. if he just came out with it, it is because he is now embarrassed about it not knowing if you feel the same. i wish you the best of luck.

that he is shy, he told you he liked you, now hes waiting for you to make a move to show that you like him as well, if i say i like you, i will stop calling, and then expect you to call me to say hi or anything, its just how guys opperate.
