I'm assuming when you say different community you mean either race or religion. But no one says you have to love him, the least you could do is spend some time with him and get to know him better. If he is treating your daughter respectfully and she loves him you should at least try and accept him for your daughter's sake.

Like a Son, but always keep in mind that you are your daughter's agent and friend first, not that you should spell that out necessarily unless they are openly talking or gripping about it. You give them the best of your knowledge, and they will listen but may not act like it. Work with your daughter however before you have fun with your Son in law.

I am not sure what you mean - different community? My daughter is married to a Korean and I love him like my own son. It is the person you love not the skin or the religion. He loves my daughter and she loves him. He is intelligent and fun. What's not to love? Get to know him - he might turn out to be one of your best friends.

Do you love your daughter? OF COURSE YOU DO! Does she love him? She married him didn't she? I am the mother of 5. We can't choose the person our children marry. We don't have to be happy about it. If you love your daughter and want her to continue to be involved in your life, you will have to accept her husband.
HOWEVER, if her hubby is beating her or cheating on her, then that is a different story. If he is just of a different race or class, then you just need to get over it! This is not India with the Caste system or not Victorian England with the class system. We are all just animals with warm blood and basic needs. You WILL lose your daughter if you shun her husband. I wish you well. No man is going to be good enough for my 3 daughters either!
