You're correct, it's strange.
It's only a story; there is no God, only energy.
All the 'prophets' who wrote the bible were men. That is why it cannot be trusted or believed. It is a one-sided treatise representing the time in which it was written.
You smoke, surely you have enlightenment in your life!

Because if God came to earth as a female, you'd be asking why She came to earth as a female rather than a male. Same goes for the prophets. God could have come down as a hermaphrodite or completely sexless, but this would not have made God as popular. It would have been even worse to do this with the prophets.

The answer you're driving at, of course, is that men controlled these societies and created God in their image - including the genitals. Ah well, such is life.

God came to earth as a male because the prophets wanted God to come to earth as a male. The prophets were men because these men wanted to be prophets. This isn't so strange. It's just typical history.

It has to do with the curse for original sin. That woman shall not rule over man. Also has to due with the line of David. Christ was to be born of the lintage of David. So he had to be male and born of a woman in order to complete the prophets words about his coming. Also original adam was male then his bride was take out of him. The last adam ( Jesus ) also fall asleep and his bride was also taken out of him. The body of christ all born again believers in christ.

God is male and is the Almighty God. The bible does not say goddess which is female. Men were important to God which was the dirrect lineage of Jesus led up to His birth. A few woman played important rolls in that as well. Men are spritual leaders, not women.

Peace!

This is just a guess but it has some basis. Because the Jews at that time was a male dominated society. In fact, St. Paul wanted women to keep quiet in church.

Wish you a happy and prosperous New Year!

All the major prophet that we ever got to hear about! People didn't think a woman should speak in public, let alone speak about theology or prophecy. That's probably why Jesus was a man.... Better chance that people would listen to him.... Of course they didn't listen much anyway... They killed him. But God was able to do his work anyway. In spite of the people who didn't believ.

Bcos man was created first & woman was created out of his side via his rib. So man is head over the woman just as Christ is head over the church. Woman was created to complement man not the other way around. As the first Adam who was man sinned & caused everyone to sin, the last Adam who is Jesus Christ died for all our sins & saved everyone from sins bcos He is the only perfect Man. There is nobody perfect on earth. All destined to go to hell.

God created the 1st people adam and eve. purely because of the fact the bible starts off with their tale doesnt propose that there became different existence in the international. The earth is waaaaay older then human existence. Why might god or every person positioned something approximately dinasours or some form of alternative existence interior the bible if it doesnt prepare to us? The bible is for us from god to help us.

No, it's not strange. This is mythology and they made all the important characters male because they needed credibility. They wouldn't have received this if they had included women so they used men.
