My last two periods I had was both late. The first one was two days late and the second one was four days late. Both of them was much lighter and didnt last the total five days that they normally are. I took a ept both times when I was late and they both was negative. I have sore nipples with much fatigue. My cervical mucus is still coming even though I have already ovulated. It has been coming for almost two weeks now. My cervix is high and soft. My breast feel heavy and the areola has become darker also along with the nipple. I am due for my next period on the second of Jan. My periods have never been late. I was just wondering if the test could have been wrong because I have been reading alot about women not finding out till like the fourth month because they still had their period.

You can be pregnant and still have your period (my mom told me about a cousin or something that had her period every month the entire pregnancy!! How unfair is that??). I also had some bleeding in all three of my pregnancies.

You need to see an OB/GYN right away. They will do a thorough exam and can do a blood test or something. If you are not pregnant, something else could be wrong, and you shouldn't put off finding out what is going on. If you ARE pregnant, you also need to know right away so you can start preparing (physically -- eating right, taking prenatal vitamins, stopping smoking and drinking if need be, etc.) and can have a healthy pregnancy.

Stress, diet, exercise, and sometimes no reason at all can be explanations of the late periods. You've had two negative HPT's with each period - chances are that you aren't pregnant.
