I have no problem with Muslims myself. The terrorist's have bastardized this fine religion into something it was never meant to be.
I am a Christian myself, but have known plenty of Muslims.
One thing I admire is the dedication it takes to be a practicing member of Islam. Think about it: prayers five times a day, most of the holidays involve serious fasting. That's pretty hardcore.

The overwhelming majority of muslims have a simple and devout faith and a daily connectedness with their concept of the divine. The minority are those who are fanatical in their limited interpretation of a small part of the Koran. It's pretty much the same as with any religion. The majority are good people seeking a path in which they can love their god. It's too bad that all the people who wish to criticize narrow their focus as much as the fanatics upon which they focus.

Sincerity, in all things but especially his Faith.
I have a very god friend here in Saudi Arabia who naturally is a Muslim.
I admire him for his honesty, sincerity and his avid curiousity about all things. He is especially curious to know about my attitudes to different subjects and is never retiscent to discuss his own as a comparison, rather than denigrate those opinions and attitudes I hold.
A good man and his family are equally as open and curious.
If I was to count one thing above the others for which I admire him, it would be his sincerity.
Peace my friend from a Buddhist.

Hello =)
I find many admirable characteristics to Islam....
But, I think the most admirable, to me, is the dedication of many written works that reads something like this paraphrase:
"If there is any good come from this work it is due to Allah, and if there is any evil come from it, it is from me....."
What a noble sentiment, and it expresses some depth of understanding that most Christians lack.
I'm not a Christian mind, you, but taking responsibility for your own evil deeds, while still making an offering of humility is a wondrous thing, in my eyes.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

What I admire the most is that can get on an airplane, disturb passengers by praying loudly, ask for (and get) seatbelt extenders that they clearly don't need, among other thing and only get kicked off the airplane.
If I did something like that I would have been lead away to jail and at the very least be looking at a very hefty fine and a ban from flying on that airline ever again. I'd be very lucky not to be on the wrong end of a very nasty law suit.

I admire their dedication and the importance of their faith. I wish more Christians were guided by their beliefs like that, not just the desires of the flesh.

Well - if you go back historically, the moslems were tolerant of other religions, in a manner similar to the Romans...
But now...
