Yes, it's normal. A woman's hair usually gets thicker and grows faster when she's pregnant. Then it falls out after you have the baby.

For some women yes it is. I suggest you check with your hair stylist to see if something else is causing it besides giving birth. Stress and trauma can also cause hair to fall out as well as certain medications. You may also want to consult with your ob-gyn to make sure you aren't having post-partum blues. In the meantime, try not to stress about it too much because that will make the problem worse and try doing relaxation exercises. Remember your body has gone through a lot of hormonal changes to adjust to the pregnancy, now it is doing the same to get back to where it was before you got pregnant. Giving birth is a gift from your creator. Concentrate on your gift for now until you get your hair situation resolved. Psalm 127:3

It is quite common for some women to experience alopecia (hair loss) after childbirth. This usually reverts to normal after a few months. If you have any questions, your doctor may suggest some medication to treat this hormone change if it persists.
here is a pragraph from Dermetology.com :
"During hormonal changes after childbirth, when the hormones revert to normal levels, all of the hair that has not been cycling suddenly enters the resting, telogen phase. For several months following childbirth, women may notice that more hair than usual falls out when they comb or brush."

I have heard that before, but the product I would recommend is Nioxin. My dr. called it "shedding" and said it was hormonal so I imagine this is the same with pregnancy. It really did stop the shedding and in not too much time. They make an entire line of products, but I bought the starter kit of the shampoo, conditioner and treatment serum, for $40. They also make a line now, for colored hair as well.

I'm sure someone will have a better answer, but yes it is normal. It has something to do with hormone changes. I don't know exactly when it stops, but my wife had a baby in May and her hair was everywhere. I guess maybe it was 4 or so months.

yes. it is called telogen effluvium...it is common after pregnancy. It can last four to six months after you give birth. there really is nothing to do to slow it down. you are going to lose up to 15% of your hair, just dont stress about it. Stress will cause additional hair loss. your hair will start returning to normal soon.
