Firewalls cannot protect you from demons. They can't even protect you from stupid spam or computer hackers.
As for the veracity of such claims; mostly hearsay and rumour and fearmongering. What is not permitted is demonized, as are most 'spiritual' acts not sanctioned by any abrahamic church.
A ouija board is no more dangerous than a volvo. In the wrong hands, both are dangerous vehicles capable of producing great harm, but you don't see people worrying about demons taking over their Volvo S.

I wouldn't go near a ouija board if I were you. Too many strange, bizarre accurances happened when I used to play w/that thing many many yrs. ago. Believe me, they are NOT good, stay faaaaaaaar away from those boards...they are not "a game"....
