A little context is usually necessary for something like this, but just tease a little or better yet bring up an inside joke you too share, or even a really fun past experience. It wont be so much "flirty" but it will set him back into a very positive mind frame (if you send a nice inside joke/experience) which will be anchored with receiving a text from you =)

But be mild on him, dont rush, love is not an overnight thing. Men also have a strange way of responding.
