Be open-minded about this one. I don't like gun control in general, but NFA 34 and GCA 68 were enacted when people with my attitude did not want them enacted. Think first, THEN respond intelligently.

Don't respond with laws already on the books, please. Something new, such as the lesser evil alternative to a draconian option.

When I post "agree to", this means soemthing that would not be "the end of the world" as opposed to you actually endorsing it. "Agree to" may have been the wrong thing to post.

Bound's hubby here:
I like the Swiss law that requires all law abiding citizens must posess a firearm (state issued machine-gun) and be proficient with it and in order to vote they must show up at the polls with that weapon.
I would like this new law for the United States. Require every legal, law abiding citizen that is free from a criminal record and mental illness must own and carry a firearm on their person when outside of the home and limit the right to vote to those lawful gunowners.
An armed society is a courteous society.

it truly is in all likelihood tick some human beings off. The guidelines contained in the unique 13 colonies when they grew to change into 13 states and a Confederation earlier to growing to be a Republic were common each male (reckoning on the state) between both 16 or 18 to 40 six change right into a member of the military. era Dot end of tale. not some not some ALL, and each very last one in each of them change into required to furnish their own guns. Musket, Shotgun, 2 Pistols, or a bow for distance guns. they had to have accessible in any respect cases 50 rounds of powder and shot for the firearms or arrows for the bow. it truly isn't any shaggy dog tale. you probably did not go away your position till you had your guns accessible because the natives were raiding sparkling to the coastal parts the position the inhabitants change into skinny. understand what i imagine each human being from age 18 till they could't bypass the marksmanship criteria till convicted of a legal(at any age) ought to openly carry a weapon they have been educated on and characteristic qualified on. they ought to qualify each year and the fee of preliminary education is on the authorities yet retraining or requalification is on the citizen. If this were the case in Mombai then the terrorists might want to have lasted about 10 min max.

There is no such thing as a tolerable or acceptable gun control measure. Guns are like Pit Bulls. Neither the gun nor the Pit Bull is the problem. The owner, or handler of the Pit Bull or of the gun is the problem.

I think it is definitely necessary to reduce accidental deaths from children finding and playing with a loaded guns, and I would support mandatory recurring training and rigid storage requirements., Other than that, you brandish a weapon while committing a crime, you automatically get double the maximum sentence of the crime being commited, if you discharge the weapon, even accidentally, you get double the maximum sentence PLUS the maximum sentence for attempted murder

One more gun control law......It is law that every household must have a person trained in the use of firearms and each household must have a gun present.

Never give them even an inch, man.
They plan on "one more law-ing" private gun ownership completely away, and they'll be happy with nothing less.
I don't feel like I should have to give up any of MY rights, to make THEM happy.
We should, (and if we want to keep our guns, MUST), fight all legislation already on the books, while tolerating no additional restrictions.

gun control is; using both hands to steady the weapon. that is the only gun control i believe in. one gun control law leads to; to many laws, at rate we are going, law abiding gun owners will be the outlaws, in very short few years.
