As you say that u r a Muslim then i hope you may know that praying 5 times a day at their appointed times is one of the 5 pillars of Islam ie these 5 things are the most important in a Muslim's life but if u'r not praying 5 times a day but believe in the Oneness of Allah and that Mohammad was his messenger then it's not necessary that u'll be punished because God does not make us enter paradise because of our deeds but because of His mercy but to attain His pleasure you have to be obedient to Him and abide by His Laws and so you should pray etc. and also continue doing all good deeds
Remember:
Allah looks more where men look the least ... at the heart!!!

I'm not a Muslim, but I think prayer is a wonderful thing that reinforces your relationship with God, and your commitment to the values of your faith.

On the other hand, if you don't feel your heart and soul is in it, perhaps you should not do it. If you can do it with feeling once a day, then do it at least that once. Maybe your heart will warm up to God more and more and you will want to pray 5 times a day eventually.

Just my opinion.

The Muslim observes his Prayers to show devotion and obedience to Allah, because Prayer is one of the greatest forms of worship that Allah likes His servants to offer.

To thank Him for creating us in the best form of creation.

Because He has guided us to the Deen (Complete way of Life, Religion) of Islam.

Prayer is a chance for a Muslim to express to his Lord whatever he feels and needs through Divine Words of Allah i.e. the Qur'an.

To remember his Lord and not forget His commands amid life's pre-occupations.

To ask Allah, The Exalted, to give him aid and continuous guidance in the darkness of life.

To strengthen love and fear of Allah in the Muslim's heart so that he might remain sticking to the Right Path of Islam, and its laws and manners.

Gaining good rewards from Allah and having our sins forgiven.

To rejoice when he finds himself on the Last Day pleased with the great reward allotted to him in the Gardens of Bliss.

Prayer is a unique training and developmental program which, if well and devotedly performed, can achieve for Muslims many valuable physical, ethical and spiritual gains such as cleanliness, health, order, punctuality, brotherhood, equality, social consolidation,… etc.
In short to be true muslim you must pray

I seem to a remember a hadith about prayer being what separates a believer from a non-believer.

salaat is a thin line between kufr n islam. its one of da 5 pillars of islam ne 1 who neglects even one pillar is said 2 hve demolished the structure of deen. in a hadith its said tht satan is scared of a muslim untill he keeps on establishin proper salaat n once the person starts 2 neglect it da satan starts 2 get a hold on him.a person in salaat is said 2 be speakin 2 Allah(swt) directly.Allah tells us 2 slove all our problems thru salaat. on the day of judgement salaat will be da 1st thing 2 be reckoned by Allah. its so imp tht muhammed(saw) even on his death bed kept on repeating its importance.the position of salaat in islam is like da position of da head in a body. in one hadith muhammed(saw) is reported 2 hve said "a person who has missed one salaat is like the one who has lost all his family and wealth"

Well it all depends; insha'Allah God will forgive you but you should not bank on His mercy. Salam.
