" Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. love is never boastful or conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes."

I read this in A walk to Remember. Do you agree with it?

Nope! Haha, what a joke. Someone reads this at every wedding. Sorry, but in real life, people who have found true love with one another have to also deal with reality, which is that there will be ups and downs, some jealousy, some impatience, some resentment, etc. You know it's love when you still want to be with one another after dealing with reality together for a long time.

Well first of all, it doesn't come from A Walk to Remember, it comes from the Bible!

1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13
"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. "

And yes, I completely agree with this. The source link below has more Bible verses about love if you are interested.

I agree that "IF" this world were as pure as is was when this was recorded in the bible, WE would Each enjoy such untainted Love.

Unfortunately, the chance of us experiencing something so wholesome and true, has been greatly diminished. Through exposure to everyday worldly events.

Still , I think we should all strive for such LOVE.

How can we expect to be So Much to Another, when MOST OF US CAN NOT EVEN ACCEPT OURSELVES THIS MUCH?

Ohh, I suppose. The LOVE isn't jealous, but the people who share it are. This quote can be pushed in either direction, but I agree, yes.

Yes! But this is a description of "true" love as it was meant to be! We as selfish human beings would have to strive hard to achieve it in our own lives!
(A worthy goal... but most difficult!)
