Just shows how much these Russians know about boxing, James Toney was probably the best pound for pound fighter in the world when he was a Middleweight about 15 years ago until he ran into a young Roy Jones Jr and he has since gone on to have a great career, i admit he looks like a bum as a Heavyweight because it seems like he cant be bothered to train anymore but you cant deny the man has skills and he just uses his defensive skills to win fights but to call him a class B fighter is ridiculous, and it wouldn't surprise me if an overweight untrained James Toney goes on to beat one of these so called great Russian champs (that's if they can keep the belts long enough). I will guarantee you that in 20 years Toney will be in the Hall of Fame and none of the Russian champs are in there.
As to your question CoolBreeze i wouldn't say i am that excited about the fight but it is one that i will definitely make sure that i watch, i think if Toney can finally win the belt it would finish of a great career and I'm sure he would probably retire straight after winning it, I just hope he has put some time in at the gym this time because he has definitely got the skills, if he goes in with some improved fitness and stamina he will blow Peter away, which he nearly did last time anyway.

Not really exicted, but i am interested. I would like to see James come into the fight in good shape because he's easily the most talented of all these Heavyweights, but he really hurts himself by not getting in good condition to fight. He takes away his best asset that he has over most of the other Heavyweights, speed and reflexes. Peter has good power so you always want to see if he could produce a KO against whoever he fights. I will watch the fight though just to see which fighter has learned from their first fight and makes the adjustments to win. I heard that Toney is working out with Billy Blanks of Tae-bo fame. Maybe Billy can whip him into shape and we'll see a dedicated Toney and he'll fight a good fight. We'll see.

Not really. Toney is a very skilled, counter punching fat slob that no longer takes his training seriously and Samuel Peter tries to knock everyone out with an over hand right. He has not jab and appears to have no real strategy when he steps in the ring............a rematch? Who cares?

I am not looking forward to the rematch. Toney is very very very boring. I hope he loses and retires.

I AGREE WITH FRANK D, TONEY IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREATS AT 160, 168, 175 AND 190. HE WOULD BE IN MY TOP TEN IN ALL 4 DIVISIONS.
EITHER ONE COULD BEAT THE OVERRATED RUSSIANS.
