Round 3
Ortiz misses with leg kick to open the third. Liddell with an inside leg kick. The two now circling the center of the cage. Liddell with another vicious body shot. A pair of rights from Liddell. Ortiz seems to have recovered from the first-round assault. Ortiz goes for a takedown, but great sprawl from Liddell twarts it. Ortiz successful with another takedown; Chuck back up, though.

Overhand right from Liddell and Ortiz is cut above the left eye. Liddell letting his hands go more freely. Ortiz is stunned and down. Liddell dropping repeated bombs. Ortiz hurt badly and bleeding badly. Referee Mario Yamasaki gives Ortiz every chance to hang in there and the challenger survives. It was a big overhand right that knocked Ortiz down.
