Let your man take his lumps. Whatever is going on between the two let them work it out.
Even in this modern age, if you step in to stop this you probably will do more harm than good.

Sometimes even the best of friends have disagreements, whatever it is you need to let your boyfriend and his buddy settle their own battles and stay out of it, because if you do get in the middle it will be very bad for both of them if their friends find out a 'girl' solved the problem....get it? Its a macho thing with guys, you need to stay the heck out of it all. Or they will never live it down and might even dislike you afterward.

Guys just fight sometimes. It usually resolves itself after a while.
Unless your boyfriend has asked you for help, try to stay out of the way.

personally it sounds like your boyfriend did something bad ..like maybe w/ another chic ..and your bestfriend wants to tell you but just cant seem to do it..so he's takeing it out on your boyfriend...
